Recruitment Process at RSM Tenon
RSM Tenon initially ask applicants to apply to the company online. Once an online application has been submitted, applicants are asked to take some online aptitude tests, a numerical reasoning test and a verbal reasoning assessment. The combination of the aptitude testing scores and the candidates application form are used to decide whether the applicant will proceed further. If a candidate is sent through to the next stage they may have to sit an initial interview, or they may be sent straight through to an assessment centre.
It has been remarked that the nature and atmosphere of the RSM Tenon assessment centre is much more relaxed than at some of the larger financial companies. The assessment centre has elements such as an initial introduction and presentation about the company where applicants can ask questions, individual interviews, an individual presentation and a group presentation.
Applicants should be notified if they are successful in gaining a position at RSM Tenon within two to three days of the assessment centre.
How RSM Tenon Use Aptitude Tests
As stated above, applicants to RSM Tenon are required to complete both numerical and verbal reasoning tests after their initial application. The RSM Tenon aptitude tests are produced by PSL / Kenexa, rather than by SHL or in house at the company. Candidates are marked in terms of their percentile positioning, rather than actual numerical scores. It is not clear if there is a minimum percentile RSM Tenon prefer applicants to achieve, as progression to the assessment centre stage of recruitment is not solely based on the aptitude test performance.
Advice for RSM Tenon PSL Aptitude Tests
Previous applicants to RSM Tenon have advised future candidates to make sure they revise their financial terminology for the numerical reasoning assessment. As with standard PSL numerical questions, the topics include percentage calculation and analysing graphical and chart information. The verbal reasoning test is much what candidates with experience of verbal reasoning questions would expect, with the standard yes, no or cannot say possible answers.
