The Fidessa Recruitment Procedure

Fidessa's candidate selection process is quite a well defined process. After the candidates initial application, subject to the division and position being applied for, most candidates will have to undertake a logical reasoning aptitude test which is believed to be an SHL branded test. After this, if a candidate makes it through the initial rounds, they will be invited to an assessment day or assessment centre. This day will consist of three stages. The first stage is an interview with human resources primarily aimed at discussing the candidates CV and asking questions based around the CV. If the job position is a technical position candidates will have to take a technical test, such as a C++ or general programming test. The technical test is then marked by the hiring manager of that particular division.

Finally, if the applicant passes the technical assessment, they have a second interview which is primarily a competency based interview but it is also designed to assess the applicant's social skills and "soft skills".
