Bank of America Merrill Lynch Aptitude Tests
Bank of America Merrill Lynch make use of a numerical reasoning test at the beginning of their assessment process. Candidates who apply to BoA Merrill Lynch will receive their invitation to take the numerical test shortly after applying. There is a lot of conjecture amongst applicants as to how quickly you will hear if you have been accepted for the next stage of the assessment or how soon you will receive your rejection notification if you are unsuccessful.
The BoA Merrill Lynch numerical test is not produced by SHL but is of similar format and standard to an SHL numerical reasoning test. One of the readers of this website kindly confirmed for us that the BoA tests are made by PSL (Kenexa). As with many other numerical tests, there are questions on such topics as percentages, ratios and processing of information in tables, graphs and charts. Bank of America Merrill Lynch do provide candidates with practice questions but these are easier than the actual test.
BoA Merrill Lynch Assessment Process
Depending on the division of BoA Merrill Lynch you have applied for, if you are successful in completing the initial numerical aptitude test, you will be asked to fill out additional competency questions. Depending on the result of your numerical test and your answers to the follow up questions, you may be invited to take a telephone interview or invited straight through to an assessment centre. The telephone interview consists of mainly competency based interview questions and the interview format and questions are fairly standard, though this can vary wildly depending on the department applied for and the interviewer. In terms of difficulty we understand the test is of a comparable level to other banks and consultancies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Interesting site, keep up the good work, my colleagues would love this. I read many blogs daily, and for the most part the authors lack substance, but not in this case. I just wanted to make a short comment to say I’m glad I found your blog, I'm gonna bookmark this www.practiceshltests.com web site. Thanks
